Luca Guadagnino's 'Artificial' depicts OpenAI leaders as reckless, premieres at NYFF after Amazon dropped it
Artificial, a comedy-drama from director Luca Guadagnino about OpenAI and the AI race, premiered at the New York Film Festival starring Andrew Garfield as Sam Altman, Yuri Borisov as Ilya Sutskever, and Ike Barinholtz as Elon Musk. AmazonMGM originally held distribution rights but dropped the film this summer following Amazon's $50 billion deal with OpenAI, and indie distributor Neon subsequently picked it up.
