GoKawiilFan project turns Met Museum's open-access collection into a Katamari Damacy game
Developer Jay Mollica built a browser game called Katamari Met, which recreates the rolling-ball mechanic of Katamari Damacy using real objects pulled from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Open Access collection. Items are rendered at their actual size, starting with small artifacts like coins, thimbles and netsuke and scaling up to large pieces such as the Temple of Dendur, with a leaderboard tracking player progress.
