GoKawiilNew Sylphide OS targets general-purpose computing on microcontrollers
A developer has released Sylphide OS, a general-purpose operating system designed for computers built around microcontrollers (MCUs) rather than traditional processors. Because these MCU boards lack a memory management unit, they cannot run full operating systems like Linux, but the project argues they are now capable enough to recreate an experience similar to 1980s home computers, including output to displays such as VGA or HDMI.
