A trailer has dropped for 'Musk', a nearly four-hour documentary directed by Alex Gibney, complete with a ten-minute intermission. The film covers Musk's leadership of DOGE, his alignment with the MAGA movement, Tesla self-driving incidents, and allegations that he used Starlink to influence the 2024 presidential election. Musk has publicly attacked Gibney on X and threatened to sue him for defamation.
The Toronto International Film Festival kicked off its annual lineup, featuring new work from Takashi Miike, Ryûsuke Hamaguchi, Werner Herzog, and a four-hour Elon Musk documentary. Among the festival's early standouts is 'The Only Living Pickpocket in New York,' starring John Turturro as an aging, technophobic thief navigating a city that has moved on to smartphones. The film hits theaters October 30th.
