Arm announced a wave of agentic AI-focused updates to its IP portfolio at its Arm Everywhere China event, spanning mobile devices, robotics, and cloud/enterprise infrastructure. Among the highlights is the Mali G2-Ultra NX GPU, which integrates neural accelerators capable of delivering AI graphics performance at under one watt of power for mobile devices.
Arm has launched the Mali G2-Ultra NX, described as its first AI-native Mali GPU, which embeds dedicated neural accelerators directly into shader cores alongside a new execution engine and third-generation ray tracing hardware. The design lets neural graphics workloads run in parallel with traditional graphics and compute tasks, sharing memory and cache resources to cut data movement and power use while aiming for desktop-quality visuals on phones.
Apple unveiled a refreshed Mac Studio built around its M5 Max and new M5 Ultra silicon, promising up to 4.3x faster on-device AI performance, 1.8x faster graphics, and support for up to 512GB of unified memory.
