GoKawiilBYD's October EV sales top 300,000, outpacing US Q3 total
BYD reported selling 305,743 battery electric vehicles in October, a monthly record and a 37% year-over-year jump, as part of 490,168 total new energy vehicle sales for the month. That EV figure alone exceeds the roughly 262,500 EVs sold across the entire US in the third quarter, according to Kelley Blue Book estimates cited in the report. BYD also exported 170,194 vehicles in October, part of a push into Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
