Nikkei Employee Email Accounts Breached, Phishing Campaign Uncovered

Nikkei revealed that unknown hackers accessed two employee email accounts, one of which was used to send thousands of phishing emails in September. The breaches involved a Google Workspace account in July and a Microsoft 365 account in September, prompting the company to change passwords and warn staff about ongoing threats. No customer or reader data was affected in these incidents, according to Nikkei.

iPhone Ultra output stuck at a few hundred units daily ahead of launch

A supply chain report from Nikkei Asia says Apple is currently producing only a few hundred iPhone Ultra foldable units per day, far below the tens of thousands needed daily to hit normal launch targets. An extra trial production run in August, meant to verify the device's hinge performance and surface flatness, reportedly pushed back commercial manufacturing by several weeks.
