GoKawiilJinx tool transpiles Nix's nixpkgs into TypeScript, matching exact build paths
A new open-source tool called jinx compiles Nix expressions into TypeScript, reportedly reproducing the same derivation paths (drvPath) as Nix itself across all 231,777 nixpkgs attributes. The project lets users evaluate packages like 'hello' in a browser without installing Nix, via an online playground.
