GoKawiilNRC grants TVA first US construction permit for GE Vernova Hitachi's BWRX-300
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued the Tennessee Valley Authority a construction permit for a BWRX-300 small modular reactor at the Clinch River site in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. It is the first such permit granted for this reactor design in the United States, following an extensive NRC review of TVA's application.
