Over two and a half years, the MSI MPG 321URX 4K QD-OLED monitor has been subjected to continuous static content use, simulating demanding real-world conditions. After accumulating approximately 8,000 hours, the display shows no signs of burn-in or degradation, with 865 compensation cycles completed, aligning with prior updates.

OLED screens use self-emitting pixels that dim gradually with use, and because sub-pixels for red, green and blue age at different rates, uneven wear can create visible ghosting known as burn-in. Static content such as news tickers, channel logos, or long gaming sessions with fixed HUD elements accelerates this uneven degradation in specific screen regions.
