Researchers entangle laser light with a glass microsphere
A team of physicists successfully created quantum entanglement between a beam of light and a small glass bead, linking the two so that measurements on one correlate with measurements on the other. The achievement extends entanglement, normally demonstrated between subatomic particles like photons, to a macroscopic mechanical object.
