GoKawiilPeacock's Crystal Lake prequel review highlights heavy focus on Pam Voorhees backstory
A review of Peacock's new series Crystal Lake, a prequel to Friday the 13th, finds the show spends much of its runtime building out the backstory of villain Pam Voorhees, played here by Linda Cardellini. The review notes original actor Betsy Palmer had refused to reprise the role in sequels due to the character's thin writing, giving the new series an unusual amount of material to work with.
