GoKawiilEU unveils plans for first direct Greenland-Europe subsea cable
The European Commission's October 20, 2026 Arctic strategy document names a Pan-Arctic Cable as a flagship project, proposing a direct submarine cable link between Greenland and the EU. The plan also floats extending the cable to Canada as a stepping stone toward eventual connections with Japan and South Korea, notably without routing through the United States.
