Apple's iOS 27.2 beta 1 introduces user profiles for the Apple TV app on iPhone, letting multiple people on one account switch between separate viewing histories and content settings. The feature, previously limited to tvOS since December's tvOS 26.2 update, now lets parents create child profiles without an Apple Account and restrict content to age-appropriate ratings directly from a phone or iPad.
Apple has released iPadOS 27, its latest major iPad software update, headlined by a smarter, more personal Siri accessible through a dedicated app, screen swipe, or voice commands. Sydney woman Narghiza Ergashova says her former partner Enrico Pucci used the Tesla app's 'parental control' and 'Valet Mode' features to remotely limit her car's speed, set curfews and manipulate cabin temperatures while she was driving. Police records reviewed by The Guardian describe him tailing her in his own vehicle while boasting he was 'in her car' and 'in her maps,' during what she says was a four-year pattern of abuse.
OpenAI has introduced a parental controls system that lets parents link their ChatGPT account to their teen's via an email or phone invitation sent through the Settings menu. Once accepted, parents can view and adjust safety settings for their child's account from a dedicated Family members section.
