Pendulum modifies '+' operator to handle DST-aware datetime addition

Pendulum's latest version implements a custom __add__ method that inspects the call stack to determine how to add timedeltas, ensuring correct daylight saving time calculations. This approach results in significantly slower performance compared to Python's standard datetime library. The design was introduced to meet Pendulum's commitment to accurate DST-aware datetime arithmetic.

Artist Niklas Roy builds 30-minute trash-material clock during NOMOS residency in Glashütte

Designer Niklas Roy constructed a working mechanical clock entirely from trash and found materials while on an artist residency in Glashütte, Saxony, hosted by watchmaker NOMOS. The clock runs for about 30 minutes, displaying only seconds and minutes, striking a gong at each full hour and triggering a randomizer device just before it stops. Roy also devised a mock time standard he calls GTC, with his clock serving as its reference timepiece.
