GoKawiilReports suggest Sony could get temporary exclusive on AMD's mobile RDNA 5 chips
Digital Foundry's podcast and leaker Kepler_L2 suggest Sony may have some form of exclusive or priority access to AMD's upcoming mobile RDNA 5 architecture for its next PlayStation handheld, codenamed Canis. Rival devices like a possible Xbox handheld or Steam Deck 2 may instead rely on AMD's less advanced RDNA 4m chips, reportedly branded Ryzen Z3 and Z3 Extreme, expected around early 2027.
