Global digital billboard hack broadcasts pornography across Egypt, Malaysia, Brazil
Digital billboards in multiple countries including Egypt, Malaysia and Brazil were hijacked to display pornographic content, with a group calling itself Leakers$ claiming responsibility. The most prominent incident occurred on a highway billboard in Giza, Egypt, prompting the operator Al Arabia United to shut down the screen, while Malaysia's Kluang Municipal Council also disabled affected displays. Egypt's Interior Ministry said the breach stemmed from a cyberattack on a contracted company's website and that legal proceedings have begun.
