Wube prototypes physical Factorio belt and inserter models with Prusa Research

Wube Software's Friday Facts reveals it has been developing 3D-printed physical models of Factorio components, starting with a Wriggler figure made during a 2024 Space Age playtesting event with Prusa Research. The team has since focused on transport belts and inserters, designing a grid system that mirrors in-game placement and producing two versions of each model - one for precise push-fit assembly and one with looser clearances for gluing.

Prusa's CORE One L+ upgrade fixes nozzle wiping and adds stronger belts

Prusa Research released a $25 upgrade kit for the CORE One L printer, adding a new nozzle wiper and improved GT1.5 belts to boost precision and reliability. The update, which earns the printer a '+' designation, can be retrofitted onto existing machines rather than requiring a new purchase. Prusa also announced the CORE One L+ now supports the INDX multi-tool conversion kit, priced from $799 to $1,079.
