A RentCafe analysis of American Community Survey data shows households earning $1 million or more annually that rent grew 229% between 2020 and 2024, outpacing a 193% rise among millionaire homeowners. Dual-income couples make up 75% of these millionaire renter households, with millennials representing the largest age group among them.
