SeatGeek, Vivid Seats and others sue DC over 10% resale price cap law
Four ticket resale companies—SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, Gametime and TickPick—have filed suit against Washington DC to block its RESALE Act, which would limit ticket resale markups and service fees to 10% of the original ticket price starting January 1, 2027. The law, passed by the DC council in June, exempts most sporting events and movies, and primary ticket sellers like Ticketmaster.
