DJI has introduced the ROMO 2 lineup, including the ROMO P2 and ROMO A2, at IFA 2026 as successors to last year's ROMO. The new models use an upgraded drone-derived perception system for millimeter-level obstacle detection, a LiDAR-guided mopping arm, up to 36,000 Pa suction, and leg mechanisms that step over ledges up to 8.5cm tall.
DJI has unveiled the Romo 2 lineup, comprising the transparent P2 and opaque A2 models, offering stronger suction, quieter operation, and improved obstacle navigation that lets the robots climb small steps and detect thin or transparent objects. The update also introduces a Local Data Mode that cuts the DJI Home app's internet connection and lets users disable the camera and microphone, addressing privacy concerns from the original Romo.
