Apple updates Invites app with manual RSVP tracking and larger widget

Apple released version 1.12.1 of its Invites app, adding the ability for hosts to manually add guests and update their RSVP status when confirmations happen outside the app. The update also adds support for an extra-large Home Screen widget introduced with iOS 27, alongside unspecified bug fixes and performance improvements.

Google Calendar now lets users display three time zones at once

Google is rolling out a Calendar update that allows users to configure up to three time zones simultaneously, shown side-by-side on the main grid, up from the previous limit of two. Users can also assign custom labels to each time zone, such as 'NYC' or 'LA,' and the three zones will appear when scheduling events using the 'Find a Time' feature. The rollout began today and Google says it may take up to 15 days to reach all users across Workspace, Workspace Individual, and personal Google accounts.

Snap launches Snapchat Plans to organize in-person meetups

Snap introduced Snapchat Plans, a new feature set letting users create, share and manage real-world hangouts with friends within the app. Users can set a title, date, time, invite up to 200 friends, and add Bitmoji-styled cover art, with invitations sent through one-on-one chats where friends can RSVP as Going, Maybe, or Can't Go. Snap says the events remain private and invite-only, and a future update will let users create plans directly inside group chats.

Google Calendar lets organizers turn off RSVP and auto-reply email notifications

Google is rolling out a new Calendar setting called 'Get an email when guests respond,' letting meeting organizers or their delegates opt out of receiving RSVP confirmations and automatic replies like out-of-office messages. The setting is enabled by default but can be unchecked, and it applies to the whole series for recurring events. The gradual rollout begins today for Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google account users.
