Nvidia's flagship RTX 5090 graphics card remains technically in production, but retail availability has dried up, with resale listings reportedly reaching as high as $10,000. Nvidia has pointed to continued manufacturing as evidence the card is still active in its lineup, even as consumers struggle to find it near its original price.
Oderço Distribuidora, a Brazilian hardware importer, says two pallets of Zotac GeForce RTX 5090 cards worth roughly R$2.5 million ($470,000) disappeared at São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport. Company president Oderço Matos says no video footage exists of the pallets being moved and that authorities have offered no explanation. Brazilian police and customs officials have not yet issued a statement on the case.
Nvidia executive Jeff Fisher said at an RTX Spark launch event in Taipei that the RTX 5090 remains in production despite supply constraints, contradicting leaker claims that the GB202 chip would be redirected to RTX Pro Blackwell products.
