GoKawiilReplit rewrites sandbox engine, moves to microVM isolation at scale
Replit has completed a full rebuild of the sandbox infrastructure that powers its coding environment and AI Agents, switching to a microVM-based isolation model. The company says it migrated hundreds of millions of existing projects to the new engine without data loss or downtime, and the new system also underpins its Bring Your Own Cloud offering across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
