GoKawiilTabletop Whale releases code tutorial for geologic map of the Moon
Science illustration blog Tabletop Whale published a coding tutorial detailing how it built a geologic map of the Moon, merging six separate geologic datasets with inconsistent labels and formats into one cohesive visualization. The creator chose to omit timescale data due to imprecise and overlapping geologic eras, coloring the map purely by geologic category, and drew inspiration from the bright color schemes of original 1970s lunar maps. This release marks the final entry in the blog's Atlas of Space series.
