Richard Kelly writes 'Donnie Darko' sequel novel, eyes new film franchise

Richard Kelly, director of the 2001 cult film 'Donnie Darko,' has written a book that directly continues the story of the original movie. Kelly has said he hopes the novel could serve as the foundation for additional films expanding the franchise beyond the original.
