GoKawiilBinance says $6.3B breach traced to compromised engineer's laptop, not stolen keys
Binance reported that an attacker gained access to its withdrawal systems through a compromised DevOps engineer's laptop, using that foothold to reach a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions totaling an estimated $6.3 billion. The exchange said no wallet private keys were leaked and has revoked the affected address's authorization while a full technical investigation continues.
