Hobbyist builds Forth language for homemade Soggy-1000 SG-1000 clone
A hardware tinkerer who created the Soggy-1000, a clone of Sega's SG-1000 console compatible with its optional keyboard, found Sega's built-in BASIC too limiting for development work. They are now writing their own Forth implementation to serve as a self-controlled, copyright-clean programming environment that can be embedded in ROM and run interactively on the machine.
