Fast Company's Shalene Gupta surveyed more than 100 women on balancing motherhood with career advancement, finding that even accomplished women in leadership roles struggle to maintain work-life balance. Many described relying on personal workarounds or 'hacks' they developed on their own to cope with workplace structures not designed with parenting responsibilities in mind.
