Startup Aina has unveiled a smart ring featuring a tiny OLED screen, a microphone, and touch-capacitive controls that let wearers manage AI agents and connected devices. The ring is designed to learn user habits from a phone or PC and surface relevant prompts, such as approving an agent's action, directly on its display. It is priced at $400, available for pre-order now, and expected to ship in early 2025.
Amazon is selling the Oura Ring 4 Smart Ring in Ceramic Midnight for $279, down from its $399 list price, a 30% discount that matches the lowest price it has ever hit. The ring tracks sleep, recovery, activity, heart rate, temperature and stress without a screen, using Oura's Smart Sensing technology, and the ceramic version is built from scratch-resistant zirconia ceramic with a battery life of roughly 5 to 8 days.
Ultrahuman's Ring Pro smart ring went on sale Wednesday at Best Buy, Target, Walmart and Ultrahuman's own website, with wider retail rollout to over 1,000 Target and Walmart stores planned in coming weeks. The $479 ring tracks heart rate, sleep, stress and other metrics without a subscription, launching just six days after Oura filed a new patent infringement complaint against Ultrahuman seeking a US sales ban.

Oura has introduced automatic VO2 Max measurement for its smart rings, eliminating the need for users to perform manual walking tests to estimate this cardiovascular fitness metric. The feature calculates VO2 Max passively using data the ring already collects during normal wear.
Oura announced two new workout metrics rolling out to Ring Gen3 and later models: Cardio Effort, which measures how much a workout taxes the cardiovascular system relative to a user's baseline, and VO₂ max, which estimates how efficiently the heart, lungs and muscles use oxygen during exercise. Cardio Effort is broken into per-workout and weekly totals, with the weekly score categorized from 'Light' to 'Reaching' based on personalized heart-rate ranges.
Indian wearables startup Ultrahuman has signed a two-year MOU with the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center to build and validate a model estimating biological age by combining clinical biomarkers with wearable data. The company says the model will eventually be rolled out to people across the UAE and will work with data from devices beyond its own smart ring. Ultrahuman has sold about 800,000 smart rings globally to date.
