An annual automated analysis of spring/summer 2027 ready-to-wear collections, using GPT-4o to score colors from runway images, found a sharp shift toward neutral and dark tones compared to SS26. 'Jet black' ranked as the 4th most common color overall, a first for any spring collection in this ongoing series, while shades like charcoal and charcoal gray also newly entered the top 30. Red fell from 6th to 24th place, and several pastel and light tones that were common last year disappeared from the top rankings entirely.
