GoKawiilNissan details third-generation e-POWER engine with STARC combustion tech
Nissan has outlined technical details of its new ZR15DDTe engine for third-generation e-POWER vehicles, built around a proprietary combustion concept called STARC paired with a large turbocharger. The design uses cold spray technology to shape intake ports and a specially contoured piston crown to control airflow toward the spark plug, aiming to stabilize combustion even at high exhaust gas recirculation rates.
