GoKawiilCairnspring Mills to open Blue Mountain Mill in Pendleton with Umatilla Tribes
Kevin Morse, CEO and co-founder of Cairnspring Mills, says the company is opening a new stone mill, Blue Mountain Mill, in Pendleton, Oregon, in partnership with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. The expansion follows more than a decade operating in Washington's Skagit Valley, where Cairnspring works directly with farmers to grow and preserve specific wheat varieties for stone-milled flour sold to bakers.
