Bloom raises $3.6M seed round for AI-driven US manufacturing marketplace

Detroit-based startup Bloom has closed a $3.6 million seed round led by SNAK Venture Partners, with participation from Flyover Capital, Mana Ventures, and Detroit-area investors. Originally founded in 2023 to help mobility companies outsource manufacturing and logistics, Bloom pivoted into a marketplace model that uses AI agents to connect buyers with domestic suppliers, parts makers, and manufacturing services. CEO Justin Kosmides says the company has facilitated over 2,000 matches for more than 140 companies so far.

X's Ivo Stivoric named 2026 Innovative Leader of the Year

Ivo Stivoric, who holds the title 'Lt. Trouble + Maker' at Alphabet's X, the Moonshot Factory, has been named 2026 Innovative Leader of the Year. Over more than a dozen years at X, he has led varied projects including Taara's light-based wireless communication, Tapestry's electric grid mapping, Chorus's AI supply chain tracking, and Materra's AI-driven waste sorting, and holds over 90 patents.
