Starlink rolls out demand-based pricing nationwide, hiking some bills 20%

SpaceX has expanded a congestion-based pricing model for Starlink's Residential internet plans beyond its initial test states to areas including Virginia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Washington and Alaska. Customers in crowded network areas like Portland, Spokane and Lafayette now see rate increases of 10% to 20%, pushing the Residential Max plan up to $156 a month, while subscribers in less congested regions are being offered discounts of up to 50%. SpaceX says prices will be reviewed roughly quarterly based on local network capacity.
