Canva co-founder and CEO Melanie Perkins told staff the company is cutting 1,271 jobs, about 22 percent of its workforce, as part of a restructuring she calls 'refounding' Canva. The changes merge the Product, Growth, and Platform teams into a single product organization, shift more roles to Sydney, and will require hybrid employees to work from an office 2-3 days a week starting in January. Departing staff will receive at least six months' salary, a year of healthcare coverage, and career support.
