GoKawiilOpen-source TailTalk brings AppleTalk networking to Rust with async Tokio support
A developer released TailTalk, an open-source toolkit that reimplements the AppleTalk network stack entirely in userspace using Rust and Tokio, with no dependency on Netatalk or kernel drivers. It runs on Linux, Mac OS and Windows and connects to vintage Macs via EtherTalk or LocalTalk (through TashTalk-compatible hardware), enabling file transfer, AFP file sharing, and printing to classic LaserWriters, ImageWriters and StyleWriters.
