GoKawiilTcl/Tk 9.1.0 released with Unicode, accessibility and timer additions
The Tcl/Tk development team has released version 9.1.0, dated September 29, 2026, building on the Tcl/Tk 9.0 foundation. The update adds new commands such as unicode, timer, lfilter and interp set, plus C99 math functions, 64-bit size support, and macOS filesystem case-insensitivity handling. Tk 9.1 introduces accessibility screen reader support, initial bidirectional/RTL text handling, a new ttk::toggleswitch widget, and improved Aqua send command behavior.
