GoKawiilPentagon quietly builds Technology Support Office for covert tech sabotage, Politico reports
Politico reports the Defense Department has spent months assembling a new agency, internally called the Technology Support Office (TSO), by merging two smaller classified intelligence programs running since 2023. The unit is designed to help disrupt or sabotage foreign technology programs seen as threats to U.S. military superiority, though it lacks legal authority to conduct clandestine operations itself. Politico says it interviewed 12 current and former national security officials, since TSO is barely documented in public Pentagon records.
