GoKawiilTexas says it fixed software glitch that delayed 600,000 voter registrations
Texas officials say they have resolved a software issue linked to the state's driver's license system that delayed processing of more than 500,000 voter registration applications over the past year. The backlog prompted a lawsuit from the League of Women Voters Texas and MOVE Texas Civic Fund against the Secretary of State and Department of Public Safety. Separately, county officials report a new, unrelated error has affected roughly 15,000 more registrations in the past month, just weeks before early voting begins Oct. 19.
