Developers have successfully ported Wine to OpenBSD, enabling dozens of 64-bit Windows applications to run on the operating system. OpenBSD developer Thomas Frohwein noted that even the recent remaster of The Witcher 3 runs well under the new port. The port currently lacks WoW64 support, meaning 32-bit Windows software remains incompatible.
Modder Renan Maniero extracted a new DLSS 5 Neural Rendering build (310.9.16.0) from NBA 2K27 and enabled it in games that don't officially support DLSS 5. Testing by Gaming Optimized on X found the new model up to 90% faster than the previous build in The Witcher 3, with Nvidia stating the model is 24% smaller, uses 20% less VRAM at 4K, and processes workloads up to 2x faster. The new driver file retains the older model as Preset A alongside the new model as Preset B, making side-by-side comparisons easier.
