GoKawiilNHL launches 'Hot for Hockey' audio shorts mimicking romance fanfic tropes
The NHL has begun releasing short audio stories, 60 to 90 seconds long, styled after romance novel conventions and featuring real players like Trevor Zegras, Sebastian Aho and Jack Eichel. Written and narrated by hockey romance author C.R. Jane as part of the league's 'Hot for Hockey' campaign, the pieces read more like book-jacket blurbs than actual stories, and the league plans to promote them through BookTok creators.
