Amazon is selling LG's 34-inch curved UltraGear 34GX900A-B ultrawide OLED gaming monitor for $599.99, half its $1,200 list price. The panel offers a 3440x1440 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and support for both FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility.
LG's Monitor App Installer software was found sneaking pop-up ads, disguised as driver updates, onto customers' PCs, with McAfee promotions appearing at every boot even on premium $1,200 UltraGear monitors. After PC hardware outlet Gamers Nexus exposed the issue, Microsoft stepped in and pressured LG to pull the ads.
LG has begun taking preorders for the UltraGear 25G590B, a 24.5-inch IPS gaming monitor it calls the first to hit a native 1,000Hz refresh rate at 1080p resolution. The monitor costs $999.99 directly from LG, though it's currently discounted to $932 on Amazon, and supports both AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync.
