GoKawiilGoKawiil CMS adds automatic Noto font fallback for 43 scripts
GoKawiil engineers investigated a support ticket about S'gaw Karen text rendering as dotted circles in Firefox, and traced the issue to missing font coverage for rare scripts. The fix now has the CMS automatically fall back to Google's Noto fonts whenever a visitor's operating system can't render a given script, loading those fonts only when a page actually requires them. The change ends up covering 43 scripts, including Georgian, Khmer, Amharic, Burmese and Tifinagh, though it addresses rendering within the CMS itself rather than customer-built frontends.
