The Lexar ES3 512GB Portable SSD is being sold at a reduced price, marked down 27% from its usual cost. The drive uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity and offers read speeds of up to 1050MB/s in a slim portable form factor.
USB-C offers better convenience thanks to its reversible design and widespread use across laptops, tablets and smartphones, making it ideal for transferring large files on mobile devices. However, the connector type alone does not determine speed—actual performance depends on the USB specification (like 2.0 or 3.2) built into the drive and the port it's plugged into.
The Verbatim Pocket 1TB portable SSD is currently discounted to $139.99 on Amazon, down 22% from its $179.99 list price. The drive supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds up to 1000 MB/s, is bus-powered, and comes with a keyring, cable holder, and USB-C cable in a compact, pocketable design.
