GoKawiilXpanceo shows prototype AI smart contact lenses ahead of 2027 unveiling
Dubai-based deep-tech firm Xpanceo says it has built 28 working prototypes of AI-powered smart contact lenses, backed by more than 50 patents. Founder Roman Axelrod says the lenses, which pair wirelessly with an external companion device for power and computing, will be revealed at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March 2027. The lenses contain a screen, biosensors, microbattery and antenna, and could use tear fluid to monitor health.
