Audacity 4.0 launches with dark mode and non-destructive editing overhaul

Muse Group has released Audacity 4.0, the free open-source audio editor's biggest update since Version 3.0 five years ago. The release adds a redesigned interface with dark mode, expanded non-destructive editing that allows overlapping clips, multi-clip trimming and grouping, a new envelope tool for automation, and a one-click splitting tool.
