Amazon announced it is boosting the base hourly wage for its full-time U.S. operations employees, including warehouse workers, by $1 to $20 per hour. The change takes effect on September 27. The company also said it is expanding employee discounts alongside the pay bump.
Four women who worked at Amazon warehouses in New York filed a federal class-action lawsuit alleging the company refused basic pregnancy accommodations such as bathroom breaks, extra rest time, and permission to sit instead of stand. They say Amazon punished them for taking medically necessary breaks by depleting their unpaid time off, eventually leading to their termination between April 2025 and July 2026. Amazon disputes the claims, saying the lawsuit contains inaccuracies and that it complies with federal pregnancy accommodation law.
A new nationwide class-action lawsuit filed against Amazon alleges the company routinely failed to provide basic workplace accommodations for pregnant employees. Advocates say the suit follows nearly 200 calls in 2026 to a pregnancy rights hotline from Amazon workers reporting similar problems obtaining accommodations on the job.
