GoKawiilWaveSave Deploys Portable SlamDam Flood Barriers in Multiple Countries
Founded in 2017 in Eindhoven, WaveSave has expanded its SlamDam flood barriers from the Netherlands to over a dozen countries across Africa and Southeast Asia. The barriers, initially developed in 2013 in the Netherlands, are now being demonstrated in New York City as part of urban climate adaptation efforts. Designed for temporary use, SlamDam can be quickly deployed with portable pumps and reused for over 40 years, offering a cost-effective flood protection solution.
