Bitrig, an AI-assisted coding platform, has updated its tools to support building and testing apps for Apple's iPhone Duo, following last week's Xcode 27.1 beta 1 release with similar support. The new feature includes an interactive 3D simulator letting developers fold, tilt, rotate, and position a virtual device to see how their app responds to different configurations like tabletop or tent modes.
Apple did not ship the iPhone Duo's official wallpapers with iOS 27, but the artwork has now appeared inside the iPhone Simulator bundled with the newly released Xcode 27.1 beta. That means users can extract all four dune-and-mountain wallpapers—two light mode and two dark mode—designed for Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone.
Apple has released a simulator for the rumored iPhone Duo device as part of its Xcode 27.1 beta rollout, giving developers early access to test apps against the new form factor. The release signals Apple is preparing its developer ecosystem ahead of an eventual hardware launch.
